Walt Disney World Resort has so many delicious dining options, from elegant multi-course meals at fine dining establishments to tasty snacks and treats. No matter what your taste buds prefer, there is something for everyone to enjoy at Disney World! It is so hard to pick just my top five, but these are, in my opinion, the best snacks at Disney World.
Dole Whip Float: The Dole Whip (pineapple ice cream) only gets better when you add fresh Dole pineapple juice. This treat can only be found at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Magic Kingdom Park so be sure to stop when you have the chance.
Plaza Ice Cream Sundae: There are a number of ice cream flavors to choose from here such as vanilla, chocolate, birthday cake, mint chocolate chip, and more. You can then choose your sundae toppings and even have it served in a freshly made waffle bowl. This is a great treat to enjoy during Festival of Fantasy parade, Main Street Electrical Parade, or Wishes.
Cupcakes: You can get cupcakes from a variety of locations throughout Walt Disney World Resort, but my favorite is Starring Rolls at Hollywood Studios. They often have limited time offerings (seasonal), but always have some “staples” like the Butterfinger cupcake or the Red Velvet cupcake.
Caramel Corn: You can get warm, fresh caramel corn from Karamel Kuche inside the Germany pavilion at Epcot. Even if you aren’t a fan of caramel, I highly recommend stopping in for the free smells.
Mickey Ice Cream Sandwich: Most people love the Mickey Ice Cream Bar, but another great treat is the Mickey ice cream sandwich which has cookies and cream ice cream filled between two soft chocolate cookies.
What do you think the best snacks at Disney World are?

If you’re craving a journey through the Caribbean islands, look no further than the new Caribbean Carnaval at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.
Beginning April 5, you can add this family-friendly, fun-filled dinner show to your visit and experience the delightful tastes, festive sounds and dances of the Bahamas, Cuba, Jamaica, Barbados and Trinidad. The festivities take place every Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Cayman Court at Sapphire Falls.
Here are three reasons why you’ll want to join the Caribbean Carnaval party.
Delicious Food and Drinks
Not only is the food at Caribbean Carnaval delectable, it’s all you can enjoy! The dinner includes authentic dishes from around the Caribbean, such as Mojo Roasted Suckling Pig, Ropa Vieja, and Jerk Chicken. And with everything from vegetarian to gluten-free options, there’s something for everyone to devour.
You can also enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, wine, beer, and Planter’s Punch – one of the signature drinks from Strong Water Tavern.
The Island Music is Jammin’
While the food and drinks are enough to entice any island lover, the music and entertainment really transport you to the Caribbean. Jam out to a live band, complete with steel drums, that covers island inspired hits.
You’ll Want To Conga The Night Away
All of the authentic food and music makes you want to get up and dance. The energy of the dancers is contagious as they show you how to shake it Caribbean style. Once you find your rhythm, be sure to jump in the conga line and see how low you can limbo.
Whether you’re a local or visiting Orlando, Caribbean Carnaval is the perfect escape for anyone. Grab your tickets and enjoy the flavorful dishes, electrifying music, and high-energy dancing.
Caribbean Carnaval takes place each Wednesday evening in the Cayman Court at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort. Tickets are required. Self-parking for the event is complimentary.

Try Unique Island-Inspired Food at Volcano Bay at Universal This Summer
Universal’s award-winning culinary team, led by Corporate Executive Chef Steven Jayson, has elevated the food and beverage experience with the menu they created for Volcano Bay. From the minute you arrive in the morning until well into the night, you’ll have more than 60 delicious options to choose from, from snacks to entrees to desserts. You are sure to love the food at Volcano Bay!
Here’s a sneak peek at just a few.
When you’re here, you (and your taste buds) will enjoy a wide range of island-inspired dishes, all inspired by the flavors of the South Pacific. What suits your tastes? Try a Poke Poke Bowl or Mango BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich or Island Chicken Salad. Plus—for the grownups—you can enhance your relaxation experience and sip on refreshing signature cocktails and beer while you lounge by the water.
There’s no denying how delicious the slowly-smoked glazed Hawaiian Ribs with boniato mash and sweet plantains is. One of my personal favorites is the Coconut Curry Chicken made with braised chicken, green coconut curry sauce, white rice, coconut and cilantro with sweet plantains. And our specialty burgers are sure to fill up for a day of thrills and relaxation.
You’ll find mouthwatering island flavors for everyone at these dining locations, all conveniently placed around the park:
Kohola Reef Restaurant & Social Club
Whakawaiwai Eats
Bambu
The Feasting Frog
You’ll never have to walk far to fuel up for more sliding, splashing, relaxing and laughing with your family and friends.
If you love traditional theme park food, have no fear. There are options like chicken fingers, hamburgers and pizza for you to enjoy as well. And many of these dishes are available as part of Volcano Bay’s Universal Dining Plan option.
If you’re not already hungry enough, here’s a sneak peak at some of the food at Volcano Bay. You’ll be able to enjoy everything at Universal’s Volcano Bay when it grand opens on May 25.

The festival features an irresistible array of new gardens and character topiaries, popular entertainers and tasty food and drink offerings. Fresh, farm-market food and beverage flavors will debut at the new Northern Bloom and The Berry Basket Outdoor Kitchens that will join 13 returning Outdoor Kitchens. The new generation of princess topiaries (Snow White, Anna and Elsa – the first to be designed and created with topiary facial features) will welcome a brand-new Belle topiary. This year’s Epcot front-entrance topiary garden, “Welcome Spring Fun, Food and Flowers,” inspired by a vintage Walt Disney short film will spring to life with a floral-festooned maypole featuring Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy and Pluto. The popular Garden Rocks concert takes place four days each week, with three concerts each Friday through Monday presenting pop musicians that span multiple genres over five decades. Redesigned interactive play gardens will include the new “Cars”-themed Road to Florida 500 garden introducing the new “Cruz” character topiary from the June 2017 release of Disney•Pixar’s “Cars 3.” Music Garden Melodies play area will return with a new garden design, musical note topiary elements and climbing nets. BB-8 is expected to be available after Star Wars: Galactic Nights, which is happening April 14.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
New! Three Otter Pups Have New Names: The otter triplets at the Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom now have names! The playful pups are Asian small-clawed otters which are the smallest of all otters, and the least aquatic. They each have very unique personalities that have contributed to their names. Raakshas is a Hindi word meaning monster. This young male’s favorite pastimes include exploring his enrichment and food with his mouth (unlike his siblings who use their paws) and pouncing on his brother and sister. Pintar is Indonesian for smart or clever. The second male was the first one to discover that if he moved away from his siblings he could catch more fish with less competition. Pitakee Pyaaree (or Pitakee for short) is Hindi for daddy’s girl. Like her father, she was the least enthusiastic about learning to swim. You can see them at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at the otter habitat located on the left side of the Tree of Life.
Disney World Water Parks
Reminder! ‘Miss Adventure Falls’ Attraction Now Open at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park: Miss Adventure Falls, a new family-style raft attraction, is coming to Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. The new attraction opened March 12! From your four-person raft, as you twist and turn on this fun-filled white-water experience, you’ll be able to spot several precious treasures and unique artifacts collected by Captain Mary Oceaneer – a sea-faring treasure hunter whose haul was caught in a rogue typhoon. Along the way, you’ll see Captain Mary’s parrot and trusted diving partner, Duncan, who now lives inside of the shipwreck and continues the treasure-hunting tradition. He’s busy chatting, singing and keeping an eye out for even more treasure.
Disney Springs

Of course, this is in addition to all the Irish fare you’ll find at Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant!
New! Dress Shop Coming to Disney Springs Marketplace Co-Op: A delightful new apparel and accessories collection called The Dress Shop is coming to Walt Disney World at the end of March. This line of clothing is perfect for anyone who wants to emulate their favorite characters or park attractions in a stylish, retro way. The Dress Shop collection drew inspiration from popular nostalgic design trends. Outfits include nods to Disney attractions such as Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room, “it’s a small world,” The Haunted Mansion, and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There’s an Orange Bird dress that was teased in a Disney Parks Blog sneak preview last December. Other dress designs were inspired by classic Disney characters and stories including Minnie Mouse, Snow White and Alice. When the Dress Shop on Cherry Tree Lane opens inside the accessories boutique at the Marketplace CoOp in Disney Springs on March 31, accessories and handbags will also be available. Special activities will take place that day and throughout the weekend to celebrate the new addition including a trunk show of vintage-inspired apparel.
