Disney Wish Is Sailing From New York City
Start spreading the news, because Disney Cruise Line is headed back to the Big Apple. After wrapping up its inaugural season in Europe, the Disney Wish will arrive in New York City in late September 2027 for seven special voyages ranging from four to seven nights.
From there, families can sail to the pink sand beaches of Bermuda on five different sailings, three of which include an extra day to soak up more of the island’s culture and scenery. Or, if fall foliage is calling your name, the Disney Wish will sail from New York to New England and Canada’s Atlantic coast for the first time in nearly four years. New Sailings From Puerto Rico and Panama
San Juan will see even more Disney magic, with the Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy both offering five to seven night Southern and Eastern Caribbean sailings from its historic coast this fall and spring.
For families who love a good adventure, the Disney Magic will make two repositioning cruises through the Panama Canal, each including a maiden call in a new port. These 14 night sailings are a wonderful way to enjoy extra time onboard while experiencing something truly special along the way.
Florida Sailings Get Even Better
Florida remains a home base for Disney magic, and this season brings a few firsts. The Disney Destiny will home port in Port Canaveral for the first time, offering three to seven night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean, before opening the season in Fort Lauderdale with heroes and villains themed dining and entertainment families are going to love.
The Disney Wish will return to Port Canaveral after its New York and San Juan sailings, offering three and four night Bahamian cruises with stops at both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Meanwhile, the Disney Treasure, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy continue their well loved rotations of Bahamian and Caribbean sailings, with a few special extras sprinkled in, including the Disney Fantasy’s first ever eight night sailing to Bermuda.
Florida is where I’ve sailed most often, and it’s easy to see why so many families start here. The short flights to Orlando, the ease of pairing a cruise with a few days at the parks, and the sheer number of ship and itinerary combinations make it a wonderfully flexible home base.
California and Texas Families, You’re Covered Too
Both the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will sail from San Diego through early November 2027, with three to seven night Baja and Mexican Riviera itineraries stopping in Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, and Catalina Island. I’ve sailed from San Diego as well, and it is a beautiful, laid back way to start a cruise, with a completely different feel from the East Coast departures.
After its Panama Canal crossing, the Disney Magic will head to Galveston for four to seven night cruises, including select seven night Bahamian itineraries that stop at both Disney island destinations. Southeast Asia Sailings Continue to Grow
The Disney Adventure will keep sailing from Singapore with new three and four night itineraries through the end of 2027, complete with Broadway style entertainment. Select sailings beginning December 31, 2026 will also add a new port of call in Langkawi, Malaysia, known for its rainforests and coastline.

Disney is refreshing its schedule with familiar favorites and some exciting additions:
Multiple itineraries include both Disney Castaway Cay and the brand-new Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point — some sailings will even stop at Castaway Cay twice.
For the first time, Disney Cruise Line will call on Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, opening new shore-excursion possibilities.
Expanded departure ports from the West Coast and Texas make sailing more convenient for families outside Florida.
California Sailings — Disney Magic & Disney Wonder (San Diego)
Disney Magic: Begins October 2026 from San Diego with 3–7 night itineraries, then relocates to Galveston in November.
Disney Wonder: Also arriving in San Diego in October 2026, offering 3–7 night voyages through April 2027.
Sample Ports: Catalina Island, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada, Puerto Vallarta — perfect for shore adventures and family beach days.
Texas Sailings — Disney Magic (Galveston)
Dates: November 2026–April 2027
Itineraries: 4-, 5-, and 7-night sailings from Galveston

Florida Sailings — Five Ships, Countless Choices
Disney Destiny (joining Nov 2025): 4-, 5-, and 7-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Disney Dream: 3–6 night Bahamian sailings, 7-night Eastern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, and 7-night Southern Caribbean from San Juan. Additional 3–4 night sailings from Port Canaveral.
Disney Fantasy: 3–5 night voyages calling on Disney Castaway Cay, Disney Lookout Cay, and Nassau (Oct 2026–May 2027).

Caribbean & Beyond — What to Expect Ashore
Castaway Cay & Lookout Cay: Two private-island stops mean more beach time, character meet-and-greets in paradise, island BBQ experiences, and calm turquoise waters for kids and snorkelers.
Puerto Plata (new): Expect cultural highlights, historic sites, and active shore excursions such as amber mine tours, ocean adventures, and beach access.
Mexico ports: Classic family-friendly shore days—snorkeling, Mayan ruins, beach clubs, and local food tastings — make these itineraries a natural fit for multigenerational travel.

Book early: The best cabins and holiday sailings fill fast. Castaway Club members get early access on Aug 25, 2025; general bookings open Sept 2, 2025.
Choose your ship by vibe: Short sailings on Dream, Wish, or Fantasy are great for quick family getaways; longer 7-night itineraries on Treasure or Destiny allow more time for ports and island stops.
Consider round-trip convenience vs. repositioning sailings if you’re traveling farther — West Coast and Texas departures reduce flight time for many families.
Double-island days: If Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay are on the itinerary, plan your shore day early (snorkel, character photos, adult-only Serenity Bay) for the best experience.
