Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is now open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Star Wars fans of all ages will love visiting the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, the “long forgotten planet on the edge of the galaxy, between the Unknown Regions and Wild Space.” There are two new attractions, shopping, dining, and more experiences waiting for you in this new land so we wanted to share ten things to do in Galaxy’s Edge to help you prepare for your visit.
Pilot the Millenium Falcon: The headline attraction in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Millenium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run. You can actually pilot the iconic spaceship as you take on a mission from Hondo Ohnaka. Other necessary jobs on the mission include engineer and gunner.
Tip: Take advantage of the single rider line, if you are able to be split up from the rest of your party to enjoy the experience at a significantly reduced wait time.
Build a Light Saber at Savi’s Workshop: You can build a custom lightsaber and then bring it to life with a kyber crystal at Savi’s Workshop. You can choose from one of four themes- peace and justice; power and control; elemental nature; or protection and defense. These are not inexpensive souvenirs though at $199.99 plus tax each.
Tip: There are less expensive build your own lightsaber options at Tatooine Traders, the gift shop located at the exit of Star Tours, that is perfect for younger fans.
Try the Blue or Green Milk: Stop by the Milk Stand to try the blue milk and/or green milk. They are both plant based blends of coconut and rice milks. The blue milk is sweeter while the green milk is a little more flowery or citrusy. They are a little different if you are used to dairy milk, but each had a refreshingly unique flavor. Both the blue and green milks are also available with alcohol.
Tip: These are available as a snack credit on the dining plan and also now available through mobile order so you can save time waiting in line to order one.
Build a Droid at Droid Depot: Droid Depot offers you the chance to purchase and build your own remote controlled R-series and/or BB- series droid that will interact throughout the land. You’ll get to choose the four components required for your droid and then have the chance to assemble your droid and bring it to life. There are a variety of colors and designs you can choose from. Please note that Disney does only allow one guest to accompany the builder during the experience.
Tip: Special backpacks are available for purchase which are a great way to carry your droid throughout the land where it interacts as well as to transport your droid home, especially if you are flying and need to safely carry it through the airport.
Oga’s Cantina
Grab a Drink at Oga’s Cantina: You can find a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations at Oga’s Cantina, one of the galaxy’s most infamous watering holes. Although the food items are quite limited, there is an extensive list of beverages to choose from. While you visit the cantina, you’ll also enjoy musical entertainment courtesy of DJ R-3X, which some of you may remember as a former pilot from the Star Tours attraction. Please note that Disney does limit each party to only a 45 minute experience in the cantina.
Tip: Although guests of all ages are welcome in Oga’s, the majority of the location is standing room only which may make it difficult to enjoy if you are traveling with little ones that will need to be held as strollers are not allowed inside.
Stop for Photo Opportunities: You have the opportunity to travel to another planet on the outer rim when you visit Batuu so don’t miss numerous photo opportunities throughout the land. You will find ships, fighters, speeders, droids, the infamous Falcon, and so much more that make for awesome photo opportunities which is sure to make all of your friends jealous of your travels.
Star Wars Characters: You never know who you’ll find from the Star Wars saga during your time Batuu while you’re exploring the land. We’ve seen Rey, Chewbacca, Kylo Ren, and stormtroopers. The characters roam throughout the land which offer more unpredictable and surprise interactions in addition to unique photos from the traditional character meet and greets.
Tip: If you do want a longer or more personal interaction or just posed photos, be sure to stop by Star Wars Launch Bay to find BB-8, Kylo Ren, and Chewbacca.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Menu
Eat at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo: Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is the primary quick service dining location in Galaxy’s Edge. The menu does have some unique offerings including ribs, pot roast, fried chicken, and more in addition to two specialty, non-alcoholic beverages, moof juice and sour sarlacc. The spacious hangar also offers an outdoor seating area. We have a comprehensive list of the food and beverage options in Galaxy’s Edge here.
Tip: Take advantage of Disney’s mobile order service to bypass the long lines!
Pick up Souvenirs at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities: You can find a wide variety of iconic Star Wars souvenirs in the Den of Antiquities. As the largest merchandise location in Batuu, you won’t want to miss this hidden den. You’ll find kyber crystals, light sabers, ancient tools, and other treasures that are sure to delight Star Wars fans of all ages.
Drink a Coca Cola beverage: Coca Cola designed specialty bottles just for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney Parks. You can pick up a thermal detonator inspired bottle of Coca Cola, Diet Coke, or Sprite throughout the land.
Tip: These are more expensive than the other bottles in the parks at $6 or just one snack credit on the dining plan!

I don’t know about you, but I’m always down for brunch! My friends and I love getting together on the weekends to catch up with delicious food and drinks. Lucky for us, Disney Springs always has an amazing line up of brunch offerings and they’ve recently added a few new options to the mix that keep us coming back for more! From classic breakfast favorites to sweet or savory dishes, they have it all. Here are the restaurants that serve brunch at Disney Springs:
The all-new Bayou Brunch at House of Blues Restaurant & Bar is a can’t miss experience for the whole family! This buffet-style brunch is filled with southern classics like biscuits and gravy, chicken and waffles, crawfish étouffée, salads, and more. Other can’t miss favorites included the made-to-order omelet station, chicken and pork tacos and their amazing bourbon bread pudding. The best part? The live music from Brown Bag Brass Band, a New Orleans-inspired jazz band playing classic tunes and Dixieland favorites while you enjoy the tastes and sounds of the bayou. Bayou Brunch is offered every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Terralina Crafted Italian recently added Breakfast Pizza, Egg Frittata, Steak and Eggs, and over-the-top Bloody Marys to their menu. Available every Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m., enjoy the Rise & Shine Southern Brunch menu featuring southern comfort foods like the Hush Puppy Benedict, House-Made Doughnuts, Hallelujah Biscuit, and more. (This is one of our personal favorites)
Offering Wine Country Brunch every Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m., Wine Bar George is the place to brunch for the new Friezling made with DOLE Whip® Lime and cocktails by the carafe. Dishes include favorites such as Steak and Eggs Frites, French Toast, a Wine Country Omelet and more.
Let your taste buds take flight to the bellissimo island of Sicily on Sundays from 10 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at Maria & Enzo’s! Find everything from indulgent Nutella Stuffed French Toast to a flavorful Braised Beef Shortrib Ragu or relish signature favorites like the Lasagna Bolognese or Pasta Carbonara.
Just across the way at The Edison, you’ll find bottomless mimosas and sangria on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m. for $25 a person. Pair it with a delicious signature burger or one of their new desserts (I recommend the Triple Chocolate Voltage Cake) and you have the ultimate #TreatYourSelf meal.
The Rollicking Raglan Brunch is offered every Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m. and features authentic Irish music, food, drink and live entertainment. The menu is brimming with Irish treats including the Full Irish Breakfast, Pancakes Diaspora with crème fraiche, maple syrup and berry compote and Smoked Salmon Potato Cakes.
Indulge in decadent dishes like Cinnamon Monkey Bread and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes in STK Orlando’s upscale atmosphere. A la carte brunch options and special brunch beverages are available every Saturday and Sunday.

This quaint town is filled with treasures for your family to explore together, from ancient Mayan ruins to hidden swimming holes filled with crystal-clear water.
Three seven-night sailings to the Bahamas with a stop at Castaway Cay, plus a 14-night Panama Canal cruise, round out the departures from the Crescent City in early 2021.

Walt Disney World Resort is home to two amazing water parks, Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon, each with unique storytelling all their own! There is a lot of fun stuff to see and do at the Disney World water parks, so you may need some tips to help you get the most out of your visit. Follow these tips and you’ll leave the Disney World water parks relaxed and filled with enough memories to last you a lifetime.
Here are fourteen tips for visiting Disney World Water Parks!
1. Choose a Family Meeting Spot – If you’re spending the day with a group, it is always a good idea to choose a meeting spot or home base that everyone in your party can go back to throughout the day. Some of my favorite meeting spots include the Beachcomber Shacks and Getaway Glen Umbrellas at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and the Polar Patios and Lodge Umbrellas at Disney’s Blizzard Beach. You can reserve any of these spaces by calling (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529.
2. Stay Hydrated – At Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, there is beautiful weather almost all year long! Whether it’s summer or fall, it’s important to stay hydrated and drink lots of water. The Disney World water parks offer special refillable mugs for purchase that let you quench your thirst at any drink station throughout your day.

3. Eat ALL the Food – Both Disney’s Blizzard Beach and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon have some seriously delicious menu items that you won’t want to miss. From chocolate-dipped key lime pie and guacamole flights to plant-based bratwurst sandwiches, there is something for everyone. Adults can also enjoy specialty drinks, beer and wine. My top picks? The Fish Tacos from Typhoon Tilly’s at Typhoon Lagoon, the Blizzard Burger from Lottawatta Lodge at Blizzard Beach and the mini donuts, which are available at both parks!
4. Pack Light – Packing up a beach bag with all the essentials can be a hassle, especially when you are visiting from out of state. One of the things guests love about the Disney World water parks is that you can rent towels and umbrellas for the day. That means less bulky items to carry and less laundry when you get back home – it’s a win-win! Pro tip: Walt Disney World Resort guests receive complimentary towels at the water parks.
5. Plan A Visit That Compliments Your Vacation Itinerary – The Disney World water parks make a great addition to any Disney vacation and can easily fit into your busy itinerary. Plan a full day at the water parks or visit for a few hours- the choice is yours! Personally, I love spending a full day at one of our water parks and ending the night at Disney Springs!
6. Use the Walt Disney World Bus Service – Staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel? Make sure to take advantage of the Walt Disney World Bus Service, a convenient and complementary way to get to and from the Disney World water parks. If you plan on driving yourself, there is complimentary parking.
Photo: Disney
7. Worry Less About Taking The Perfect Picture – Have you heard of Disney PhotoPass? Helping you capture professional photos of your vacation, Disney PhotoPass photographers let you focus on having fun and worry less about getting the perfect shot. If you do decide to take your own pictures, I recommend purchasing a waterproof bag to protect your phone and easily carry it around the park. You can find waterproof bags in Singapore Sal’s at Typhoon Lagoon and Beach Haus at Blizzard Beach. Make sure to share all your Disney Water Parks pictures using the hashtags, #DisneyWaterParks, #TyphoonLagoon and #BlizzardBeach.
8. Save With the Park Hopper Plus Ticket Option – In my option, the Park Hopper Plus Option is a MUST when planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. In addition to admission to multiple Disney theme parks in one day, the Park Hopper Plus Option also includes a visit to other iconic Disney venues such as both Disney World water parks and both miniature golf courses! It’s a great value, especially if you’re trying to see and do it all while you’re here.

9. Disney recently announced a new “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired lounge coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Located on the second floor of the lobby, this re-imagined lounge will be called the Enchanted Rose Lounge and will celebrate the magic and romance of Disney’s popular live-action movie.
Featuring four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast, you’ll find charm and elegance around every corner. The lounge includes a chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing ball gown as well as a formal library that will showcase classical baroque designs and French furnishing. A garden room will take its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.
Enchanted Rose Lounge will feature a delicious menu with a variety of shareable bites. Snack on an artisanal cheese selection with pine nut bread and raisins or enjoy an exquisite dish of white sturgeon caviar served with egg timbale, crème fraiche, and chives.

Or if seafood is more your style, you can order the Espelette Pepper-Spiced Shrimp or Octopus a la Plancha with black olives, blistered tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes. There’s also the Crab and Gnocchetti Gratin, which comes with jumbo lump crab, gnocchetti sardi, robiola bosina mornay, and citrus breadcrumbs.

Other options include truffle fries as well as a house-made flatbread pizza featuring charred broccolini, seasonal mushrooms, fennel sausage, ricotta salata, and tomato confits.

Featured cocktails include beverages such as the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. You can also sip on the Lavender Fog (dry gin, crème de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream) or the Garden Daisy (tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber).
