Disney recently announced a new “Beauty and the Beast”-inspired lounge coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Located on the second floor of the lobby, this re-imagined lounge will be called the Enchanted Rose Lounge and will celebrate the magic and romance of Disney’s popular live-action movie.
Featuring four unique spaces inspired by Belle and the Beast, you’ll find charm and elegance around every corner. The lounge includes a chandelier inspired by Belle’s flowing ball gown as well as a formal library that will showcase classical baroque designs and French furnishing. A garden room will take its inspiration from the enchanted forest surrounding the castle, and an outdoor patio will evoke the romance of Beast’s garden terrace.
Enchanted Rose Lounge will feature a delicious menu with a variety of shareable bites. Snack on an artisanal cheese selection with pine nut bread and raisins or enjoy an exquisite dish of white sturgeon caviar served with egg timbale, crème fraiche, and chives.

In addition, you could try the Mini Smoked Short Rib Sliders with glacier blue cheese and onion marmalade on brioche buns. Or if seafood is more your style, you can order the Espelette Pepper-Spiced Shrimp or Octopus a la Plancha with black olives, blistered tomatoes, and fingerling potatoes. There’s also the Crab and Gnocchetti Gratin, which comes with jumbo lump crab, gnocchetti sardi, robiola bosina mornay, and citrus breadcrumbs.
Photo: Disney
Other options include truffle fries as well as a house-made flatbread pizza featuring charred broccolini, seasonal mushrooms, fennel sausage, ricotta salata, and tomato confits.
Photo: Disney
On the beverage menu is a variety of beverages including cocktails and martinis as well as spirits, beer, cider and even a few non-alcoholic options for guests of all ages. Featured cocktails include beverages such as the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. You can also sip on the Lavender Fog (dry gin, crème de violette, English breakfast tea, vanilla, and cream) or the Garden Daisy (tequila, midori, lime, egg white, and cucumber). The lounge will also be pouring an extensive collection of wine and Champagne by the glass.
Photo: Disney
Non-alcoholic options include a Garden Cocktail (non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda) as well as the B&B (fresh-brewed iced tea, lemon, blueberry, and basil) and the Rosemary Cooler (Odwalla lemonade, vanilla, and rosemary).

A little rain should never put a damper on a day of fun at the Disneyland Resort. In fact, it can be a great time to explore and enjoy the parks. Here are a few tips to ensure you make the most out of a rainy day at Disneyland Resort.
Prepare for the weather. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable, warm clothing. I also recommend wearing water-resistant footwear, and packing an extra pair of socks! If rain catches you by surprise, many Disneyland Resort merchandise locations offer ponchos and umbrellas. If you don’t see them on the shelves, just ask a cast member.

Enjoy favorite indoor attractions. There are numerous indoor attractions that are not only fun, but also keep you dry! My favorites are Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland park and Soarin’ Around the World in Disney California Adventure park. Check out the full list of indoor attractions on Disneyland.com.
Go again (and again). Rainy days can also mean more opportunities to ride favorite attractions! Be sure to check the Disneyland App for attraction wait times and other information.

Time to dine. Make a dining reservation and enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner with magical touches! Feast on Cajun and Creole cuisine at the charming Blue Bayou at Disneyland park or partake in a special character dining experience at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Dining reservations can be made via the Disneyland App, Disneyland.com or by calling (714) 781-DINE.
Catch a show. Cozy up in one of our theaters and experience great entertainment. I always love sitting back and enjoying “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” in Disney California Adventure park or encountering Honest Abe in the classic Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in Disneyland park!

Shop for Disney souvenirs. Take your time to explore World of Disney, the ultimate shopping destination at the Downtown Disney District. The store’s reimagined layout features uniquely themed areas showcasing the hottest Disney merchandise—you could be there for hours! While in Downtown Disney District, I also recommend immersing yourself in a hyper-reality adventure at The VOID, choosing either Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire or Ralph Breaks VR.

This Halloween season, children’s cauldrons will bubble over with excitement at the new Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure park. This separately ticketed party for the whole family will feature multiple new experiences – including the new Mickey’s Trick & Treat stage show, immersive treat trails and the new “World of Color” nighttime spectacular – “Villainous!”
Little ones will be treated (and maybe even tricked!) to multiple surprises! Here are the top 5 activities for kids at Oogie Boogie Bash:
Mickey’s Trick & Treat – Perfect for little monsters, this new, interactive stage production invites kids of all ages to join Mickey Mouse and his pals as they throw a one-of-a-kind Halloween party! Enjoy dancing, not-so-frightening scary-tales and candy at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land.
Villains Grove – Transformed into a wondrous and ethereal world inspired by Disney villains unlike anything seen before, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will become Villains Grove, tricked out in a dreamlike environment perfect for kids to explore. This family-friendly experience will entice your children with a series of Halloween scenes, each creating a not-so-scary symphony of sound, light and shadows for you and your little ones to explore together!
Immersive Treat Trails – Take your tiny tykes trick-or-treating at the new, wonderfully wicked treat trails throughout the park. Little ones will be able to see Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland,” and even Oogie Boogie himself! Additional treat trails will feature oversized cauldrons full of treats for children of all ages to enjoy.
“Frightfully Fun Parade” – Children will love dancing along to this fan-favorite parade coming to Disney California Adventure park for the first time! The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow starts the procession, followed by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse who lead the cavalcade of characters and many mischievous Disney villains who are ready to stir up some trouble along the parade route. Children will love seeing their favorite characters dance and singing to the spell-binding songs of the Halloween season!
“Villainous!” – Kids will love watching the twisted tale about the young girl Shelley Marie in the new “World of Color” nighttime spectacular. This Halloween story takes you on an unforgettable journey through devious encounters with The Queen, Ursula, Dr Facilier, Hades, Jafar, Maleficent and more! Children will be dazzled with the special effects—from the fountains and lights, to lasers and projections. “Villainous!” shows that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us!
This spook-tacular Halloween party would not be a Halloween bash without dressing up! Kids and their parents are encouraged to dress in costume for the occasion.
Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes the place of Mickey’s Halloween Party, is only offered on 20 select nights this fall, starting Sept. 17. For more information, including costume policy guidelines and to purchase tickets, visit Disneyland.com/HalloweenParty.
