This brand-new event includes tons of spooky fun, including mask-making, pumpkin-carving, and a Disney villain takeover of the ship’s announcements. Beginning this summer, Disney Cruise Line stateroom upgrades may be available. Disney Cruise Line is now offering select guests the opportunity to upgrade their stateroom for a special rate. As part of this program, you may receive a special upgrade notice and PIN code in a pre-cruise email prior to your departure. This upgrade offer is for a select stateroom category at a specific cost.

As a reminder, stateroom upgrades are limited and based on availability on a specific sail date.

AT&T is Now Disney’s Official Wireless Provider

AT&T and Disney Parks recently announced that they have reached an agreement to make AT&T Disney’s official wireless provider for both the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California.

AT&T will have numerous marketing and branding opportunities, including sponsoring Disney-created soccer and runDisney events at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex as a result of this agreement.  In addition, Disney will partner with AT&T to educate their Cast Members and guests about “It Can Wait®,” AT&T’s new initiative to educate people about the dangers of texting while driving.  AT&T and Disney will also collaborate to enhance the experience for the growing number of Disney guests using smart phones and tablets during their vacations at both theme parks.  Cast Members will even use new mobile devices on AT&T’s network to help deliver Disney’s world-renowned guest service.

“This is a great combination,” Andy Geisse, chief executive officer for AT&T Business Solutions, said. “Bringing AT&T’s fastest and most reliable 4G LTE network and mobile connectivity to one of the most creative companies on earth is something we’re excited about. I’m confident Disney’s guests and Cast Members are going to be thrilled with the experience we deliver.”

“We are excited about the opportunity to work with AT&T,” said Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Operations, United States and France. “This alliance joins two companies that share a commitment to providing quality experiences, and we look forward to the collaboration as we continue to leverage technology to enhance the experience for our guests.”

  • More than 25 distributed antenna systems to improve the wireless capacity in areas with high mobile traffic
  • More than 350 small cells to extend the network’s connectivity
  • 10 cell sites across Walt Disney World Resort to offer wide-ranging mobile service to guests
  • More than 40 repeaters to further offer an even more consistent and reliable mobile experience

Monstrous sweet treats for this week’s Limited Time Magic Surprise

You can enjoy monstrous sweet treats as part of this week’s Limited Time Magic at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California. These cool treats are worth a visit to the Disneyland Resort or the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort for a little “Limited Time Magic” fun now through August 4, 2013.

The Disneyland Resort sundae has two scoops of mint chip ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, a candy eye, and horns in a crisp waffle cup. You can find this treat at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor in Disneyland park and Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream at Disney California Adventure park. This sundae costs $6.99 plus tax.

At the Magic Kingdom, you can try one of (or all) four variations on the theme: a parfait-glass sundae at Plaza Restaurant that comes in either mint chocolate chip or vanilla-strawberry ($6.99 plus tax), or a slightly smaller version of both at Plaza Ice Cream Cone Shop ($5.29 plus tax). How can you resist two scoops of ice cream drizzled with hot fudge, topped with whipped cream and adorned with chocolate cookie horns, a white chocolate eye “lollipop,” chocolate sprinkles and a fresh strawberry?

Both treats are great for monstrous photo opportunities – and then even better for digging in!

These sweet treats are just part of Disney’s Monstrous Summer, which features merchandise, food and beverages, and a monstrous lineup of attractions, shows and events, inspired by Disney-Pixar’s “Monsters University.”

Aspiring pirates, mermaids and princesses can now experience an even more pixie dust and piratical fun with Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and The Pirates League’s new packages that have been added to their line-up of already magical makeovers!

You can visit the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique inside Fantasyland at Disneyland park in California and the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney Marketplace at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida to check out the new makeover now available. Inspired by Disney Junior’s Sofia the First, young girls can learn what it’s like to not only look like a princess, but to have the heart of a princess, too. The Sofia the First transformation includes “Sofia the First” hair styling, shimmering makeup, nail polish, and an assortment of delicate accessories including a crown and hair bow.
