Hot Butterbeer is being served, garland is going up and house scarves are being worn. You can now celebrate Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter (for the first time ever!).
Earlier this year we revealed the holiday details coming to both Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, including festive garlands décor, holiday food and new entertainment.
Now I’m excited to share even more details on the yuletide-inspired entertainment.
Every night in Hogsmeade Village at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, you’ll be able to see The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle. Using the latest in projection-mapping technology, Hogwarts Castle will completely transform this holiday season.
A spell will be cast on Hogwarts Castle, illuminating it in festive décor, candlelight and moments inspired by the films.
Imagine seeing the ghosts of Hogwarts singing carols, students riding broomsticks and creating snowmen, a moment inspired by the Yule Ball and many more surprises.
This experience is available multiple times throughout the evening, with later shows providing the best viewing experience.
Donning their house scarves, the Frog Choir has a brand-new collection of holiday carols:
“Christmas at Hogwarts” – This wizarding carol casts a Christmas spell that echoes through the halls of Hogwarts.
“We Wish You A Merry Christmas” – The choir will bring a new and festive life to this classic holiday song.
“The Most Magical Yule Ball of All” – Hosting the TriWizard Tournament also brings with it a magical event known as the Yule Ball. This song captures all the magic, elegance and wonder of this very special night.

An Original Fast & Furious Story
Before you even step inside the attraction, you’re immersed in the story. You’ll first encounter Dom’s iconic car parked outside.
The Fast & Furious – Supercharged building has become the all-new home base of operations. You’ll get to explore familiar scenes inspired by the films, including Tej’s high-tech War Room and the Family Room—complete with photos of the Fast family.
Dom invites you to attend a race after-party that you won’t want to miss. The best part is Tej hooks you up with customized party busses to get you there.
As you make your way to the party, Dom calls with an urgent message: Criminal mastermind Owen Shaw has tracked you down. Now, a high-speed chase is on as the Fast& Furious crew strives to keep you safe from the clutches of Shaw. But will you make it?
Virtual Line
Fast & Furious – Supercharged is the next attraction at Universal Orlando Resort to feature the Virtual Line system. All you need to do is download the free Official Universal Orlando Resort Mobile App, or locate the kiosks near the ride entrance, and select your ride time. While you wait, you can check out the other attractions at Universal Studios.

1. Opera Singers on the Piazza
Every night around sunset (weather permitting), you’ll be able to hear the romantic sounds of our opera singers. One of my favorite ways to enjoy this beautiful music is with a cheese plate and small bottle of wine for two from Sal’s Market Deli, just below the balcony where the singers perform. It makes for a perfect date night.

2. Gelato
What’s a trip to Italy without a delicious scoop of creamy gelato? I definitely can’t leave the hotel without enjoying a cup of pistachio gelato and taking in the view on the harbor! You can get yourself a cup of gelato from the Gelateria, which is next door to Starbucks on the Harbor Piazza. And if gelato isn’t your thing, there are also milkshakes, smoothies, pastries, coffee and espresso.

3. Mandara Spa
A spa day is definitely what you need after a long day in the theme parks! The name Mandara is Sanskrit and comes from an ancient legend about the gods’ quest to find the secret to eternal youth and beauty. I’d say that’s reason enough to indulge in a spa day.

4. Three Pools
Do you love a little variety in life? At Portofino Bay Hotel you don’t just have to settle for one pool. We have three amazing and unique pools to choose from. In fact, this hotel has the most pools of all of our on-site hotels at Universal Orlando Resort!
The Beach Pool is our main pool and the perfect place for the family. This pool features a Roman aqueduct-themed water slide, a sandy beach, children’s pool, two hot tubs and plenty of games for all.
If you like a bit more exclusivity, our Villa Pool is a beautiful, calm pool with private cabanas and upgraded lounge chairs.
