Fall 2018 Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Now Available for Booking

From Disney Cruise Line’s press release:

In fall 2018, Disney Cruise Line will sail on new itineraries and to new ports, including first-time visits to Bermuda and Quebec City, Canada – both with multiple days to experience these captivating destinations. In addition to the new itineraries from New York to Bermuda and Canada, three special sailings from New York will take guests to Walt Disney World and Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay. Sailings from California, Texas and Florida round out the 2018 fall season.

Bookings are now open to the public. More details on 2018 itineraries can be found on the Ports and Itineraries for 2018 page of disneycruise.com.

New sailings to Bermuda from New York

For the first time, Disney Cruise Line guests can sail to the beautiful island of Bermuda. Each of the five-night sailings includes two full days in Bermuda, while one special six-night sailing includes three days there.

An idyllic setting for outdoor enjoyment, Bermuda offers its famous pink sand beaches and a range of water activities. Shopping and sightseeing are plentiful and, at only 21 square miles, the island is easy to navigate and explore. With its own distinctive blend of British and Caribbean culture, Bermuda boasts a rich history in sailing, a passion for cricket and a truly unique national attire – Bermuda shorts.

Disney Magic cruises to Bermuda from New York set sail in October 2018.

New cruises between New York and Quebec City, Canada

Quebec City, Canada, a new port for Disney Cruise Line, will be featured on two new itineraries sailing between New York and Quebec City. Both of these sailings include two full days in Quebec City as well as stops at other Canadian ports new to Disney Cruise Line – Saguenay and Baie-Comeau.

With towering fortresses, lavish castles, cobblestone streets and French-inspired cuisine, Quebec City offers a taste of European charm. Must-see sights include the historic and grand Chateau Frontenac hotel and the impressive Montmorency Falls, which measure 30 meters taller than Niagara Falls. Both Saguenay and Baie-Comeau offer natural beauty, picturesque ports and local cuisine featuring plentiful seafood, wild game and the indigenous and delectable cloudberries.

Two seven-night Disney Magic cruises between New York and Quebec City depart in September 2018.

More magic from New York on sailings to Walt Disney World and Castaway Cay

Fall 2018 Disney Magic sailings from New York also include three seven-night voyages to Walt Disney World. Each cruise includes a stop in Port Canaveral, Florida, located near the Walt Disney World Resort, and a day at Disney’s private island in the Bahamas, Castaway Cay.

Adding to the magic on these special sailings, every guest will receive a one-day Walt Disney World Park Hopper ticket and round-trip transportation between the ship and the theme parks. During their visit, guests can enjoy experiences like the new Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which will immerse guests in a mystical world of massive floating mountains, bioluminescent rainforests and breathtaking new experiences.

Back by Popular Demand: Cruises from California, Texas and Florida

  • In September and October 2018, the Disney Wonder will sail from San Diego, California, to Baja and the Mexican Riviera. Baja sailings visit Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico, both famous for stunning beaches and exciting water activities. Mexican Riviera sailings feature the snorkeling and scuba diving hot spots Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Cabo San Lucas.
  • In November and December 2018, the Disney Wonder returns to Galveston, Texas, with a variety of Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries. All cruises to the Bahamas include a stop at Castaway Cay.
  • In December 2018, the Disney Magic will return to Miami with voyages to the Western Caribbean and Bahamas, including stops at Key West and Castaway Cay.
  • During late 2018, the Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream will continue to sail a variety of Caribbean and Bahamian cruises from Port Canaveral, Florida, with every sailing including a day at Castaway Cay.

Lady Chamomile, the Royal Tea Hostess, and Chef Brule, the Royal Pastry Chef, host the stately celebration, and the pair presents the princesses and knights with some of their most delightful culinary specialties. Carnival Cruise Line Named Most Trusted Cruise Line By Reader’s Digest

Carnival Cruise Line Named Most Trusted Cruise Line By Reader’s Digest

For the second consecutive year, Carnival Cruise Line has been named Most Trusted Cruise Line in America by Reader’s Digest.

The award is based on a poll of more than 5,000 Americans nationwide who were asked to rate products they trust across 40 different categories in areas such as quality, value, and reliability.  Carnival received more votes than any other cruise line.  The awards are featured in the October issue of Reader’s Digest.

Carnival continues to enhance its onboard offerings, building upon its brand promise of providing fun, memorable vacations at a great value while keeping up with consumer trends and exceeding the expectations of its guests.

Earlier this year marked the debut of the line’s newest, largest and most innovative ship, Carnival Vista, which offers such groundbreaking features as the SkyRide aerial attraction, the first IMAX Theatre at sea, the RedFrog Pub & Brewery that includes the line’s first on-board brewery and the fleet’s largest water park highlighted by the 455-foot-long Kaleid-o-Slide.

Carnival has also expanded upon its exclusive partnerships with Food Network star Guy Fieri with plans to roll out the new Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse on several ships and Dr. Seuss Enterprises, serving as the Official Seagoing Headquarters for The Cat in the Hat’s presidential campaign, part of the fleetwide Seuss at Sea program.

Carnival is also a major supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, raising more than $10 million for the hospital since launching its Care to Play:  Carnival for St. Jude Kids program in 2010.  As part of its Honor. Family. Fun. program honoring Operation Homefront, an organization that assists military families, Carnival will be hosting an exclusive shipboard concert for military families by seven-time Grammy Award-winning country music superstar Carrie Underwood aboard the new Carnival Vista when it makes its U.S. arrival in November.

The Carnival Journeys enrichment series is also expanding with more than 20 voyages visiting spectacular ports throughout Alaska, Hawaii, the Caribbean, and other destinations.

“Vacations are more important than ever and as America’s Cruise Line we consider it an honor that our guests entrust us with their well-deserved vacations year after year,” said Christine Duffy, Carnival’s president. “Being named America’s Most Trusted Cruise Line by the readers of Reader’s Digest for two years running is a testament to our focus on providing our guests with unforgettable vacations as well as the incredible effort put forth by our team members, both on board and ashore,” she added.

A full list of Reader’s Digest Most Trusted Brands is available at www.rd.com/trust.

Early 2018 Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Now Available to Book

Disney Cruise Line introduces a popular Caribbean destination — Bonaire — into the lineup of favorite itineraries for early 2018. Limited-time engagements in Puerto Rico and California, plus a variety of cruises from Florida, offer Disney Cruise Line guests the opportunity to visit exciting ports of call in the Caribbean, Bahamas and Mexican Riviera from January through May.

San Juan to Southern Caribbean, including Bonaire

Bonaire is a new port of call for Disney Cruise Line and part of a seven-night sailing that departs San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Jan. 28. Located just north of the South American coast, the Dutch Caribbean island of Bonaire is favored for arid climate and sunny weather. Beautiful waters and a reef-lined coast lure water-sport enthusiasts for scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and kiteboarding.

From San Juan, the Disney Wonder sets sail on three seven-night cruises to the Southern Caribbean. Departing Jan. 14, 21 and 28, each voyage offers a unique itinerary with four destinations and two days at sea. This limited-time engagement includes a combination of calls on Bonaire, Curacao, Aruba, St. Lucia, Martinique, Antigua and St. Kitts.

San Diego

Disney Cruise Line will return to San Diego with seven Disney Wonder cruises to Baja and the Mexican Riviera, where guests can enjoy world-famous beaches and snorkeling. Five-night sailings visit Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada, Mexico, while two- and three-night cruises call on Ensenada.

Friday departures for the two-night cruises offer the ultimate weekend getaway from San Diego.

Port Canaveral

With three Disney ships in port and cruise lengths spanning three, four and seven nights, vacationers looking for a Disney Cruise Line getaway in early 2018 have a full menu of options from Port Canaveral, Florida. Every sailing includes a day at Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests.

The Disney Fantasy continues to sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages, while the Disney Dream embarks on three- and four-night cruises to Nassau and Castaway Cay.  From Feb. 8 through April 8, the Disney Wonder will alternate similar three-, four- and seven-night itineraries.

Miami

To kick off 2018, the Disney Magic continues sailing from Miami with four- and five-night voyages to the Bahamas, plus five-night Western Caribbean cruises.

Castaway Cay awaits guests aboard every one of these Disney Magic sailings. Other Bahamian ports of call include Nassau and Key West, while a stop in Grand Cayman or Cozumel headlines the Western Caribbean itineraries.

Peek Behind the Scenes at Royal Caribbean’s Entertainment Studio

Royal Caribbean International may be reinventing entertainment at sea, but it takes the mammoth Royal Caribbean Production Studio ashore to support the fleet and its growing list of live shows.

To learn more about the 132,500-square-foot facility and its 300-seat theater, 14 full-size stage studios, 10 rehearsal studios, 20,000-square-foot costume-making area, audio rooms, gym and housing, watch a behind-the-scenes video released by the line, hosted at Popular Cruising YouTube channel and embedded below.

https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/nlHg7QaWpsk?rel=0

The biggest entertainment producer in the world requires the complex that is actually situated at Florida International University’s Biscayne Bay campus in Miami, Florida — complete with adjacent dormitories for about 500 cast members, singers, dancers and choreographers.

“Our entertainment operation is so huge,” said Nick Weir, VP, Entertainment, Royal Caribbean International. “Here, this is a 130,000 square foot studio. I don’t think there’s a bigger studio in the world unless you go to Hollywood and you go to the big film studios.”

As to the physical scale, the studios include ones that are three decks in height. Weir added, “We’ve got the headroom to do any kind of flying show anywhere in the world. Doesn’t matter what show it is, we’ve got the facility and the equipment for it.”

RELATED VIDEO: Behind-the-Scenes of Harmony of the Seas’ Entertainment

In fact, Royal Caribbean Cruises Limited (RCCL) has built studios that are indicative of the exact size of the venues aboard the ships – the largest cruise ship in the world, Harmony of the Seas’ included – that will host the shows practiced here.

“This facility here at the RCCL entertainment studios is a one-of-a-kind,” explained Christi Coachman-Orengo, Director, Entertainment, Royal Caribbean Productions. “It’s a state-of-the-art facility where we produce all of our theater shows, aqua shows, centrum vignettes, you name it. We do it all here.”

The facility even includes specific vocal rooms and a recording studio, and the costuming department makes all the wardrobe, maintains some 30,000 pieces and manages about 4,000 pairs of shoes. Plus, there is an enlarged storage area that can accommodate far more actual rehearsal scenery than the company ever could before.

“I think for the cast members that come here, coming to a professional environment like this really helps up everybody’s game, said Alison Frazier, Entertainment Consultant. “It’s very special to work in a fantastic facility like this.”

Specific shows that have been produced here encompass the likes of “Grease” and “The Fine Line” that are now housed in Harmony of the Seas’ Royal Theater and AquaTheater respectively.

Give yourself and your family a royal gift during the holiday season, and break free from the stress of doing it all on your own. Today, we want to share with you the top five reasons to book a holiday cruise on Royal Caribbean:

New Memories for Kids

Holiday Inspired Cuisine

Christmas onboard brings roasted Vermont turkey with a savoury apple and chestnut stuffing and festive drinks. During Hanukkah, order a traditional brisket with potato pancakes, apple sauce and sour cream. You can keep traditions from home, eat cookies with Santa and have a hot chocolate while watching a movie.

Traditional Holiday Entertainment Reimagined

The season is brought to life with traditional events on December’s festive season voyages. See Santa Claus in a parade, take photos with him, and join in with the festivities. The entire family can build ornaments and decorate cookies. Don’t forget to drop off your letter to Santa in the promenade.

Holiday Shopping at Sea

Once at sea, you can stock up on all the gifts and gift packages you need with special festive deals that you can only get on our cruises. Save on all onboard shops and be the first to snag a bargain when we countdown to our festive shopping events. Best of all: shop duty-free!

Religious Services

Attend religious services at sea on all cruises sailing during Hannukah and Christmas. Services are performed by rabbis, priests and reverends, so you don’t have to miss the reason for the season.

Plus, if you book your cruise with us by October 31, you will receive an onboard credit!
