If you’ve already had the opportunity to enjoy a Disney Cruise Line vacation, then you probably don’t need a new reason to take a Disney cruise. And with Disney Cruise Line itineraries sailings from various ports around the world, it can be hard to find the best fit for your family. With the Disney Magic taking its talents to South Beach, I thought I would take some time to share five reasons why you should book a Disney cruise from Miami – and why your family will love it, too!

Miami – need we say more?

The vibrance and uniqueness of Miami warrants a visit to this city in and of itself! Whether you want to visit one of two national parks, shop on designer fashion or local boutiques, dine on the “Floribbean” cuisine or check out the famous beaches, there is no shortage of culture and things for your family to experience together before or after your cruise. Book a pre- or post- stay and treat yourself to a few extra days of vacation!

Disney Magic

One of the biggest reasons I like to sail out of Miami is the ship that resides in this port – the Disney Magic! I’m sure you know that this is the first ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, but did you know that it is home to unique offerings such as the AquaDunk (I dare you to take the plunge!), an exclusive Broadway-style show, “Tangled: The Musical,” and one of my favorite themed dining spaces, Rapunzel’s Royal Table? If you haven’t been onboard in a while, it’s time to get reacquainted with this classic ship!

Marvel Day at Sea

Do you have any Marvel fans in your family? If so, Miami is the port for you! From January through March in 2020, the Disney Magic will sail exclusively out of this city on special Marvel Day at Sea sailings. During one special day at sea, the ship will be taken over by the Marvel universe. Picture it now: learn how to be like Captain America, meet Spider-Man, journey into the mystic arts with Doctor Strange and end your day with an action-packed entertainment stage show complete with fireworks fitting of – well, a super hero!

Miami is easy to access from anywhere!

Miami is one of the most popular ports in America, and it’s easy to see why! The “Magic City” is an easy drive from anywhere within the state of Florida, and with a bustling international airport, this is an ideal port city whether you reside in or outside the Sunshine State!

Ports of Call

Cruises from Miami sail anywhere from three-night voyages to the Bahamas to five-night sailings to the Western Caribbean – or if you’re up for an extra-long vacation, a 12-night transatlantic voyage will take you all the way to Barcelona! And best of all, every voyage to the Bahamas and Caribbean makes a stop at Castaway Cay, my favorite island paradise reserved just for Disney Cruise Line guests. Save me a seat on Serenity Bay, will you?

Even though I don’t need a specific reason to enjoy a Disney cruise from Miami, I think these are five pretty good ones (and these are just the beginning)! Leave a comment below and let me know your favorite reason to sail from this city. I hope to see you on board a sailing soon!
