Early 2021 Disney Cruise

Disney Cruise Line has just announced their sailings for the beginning of 2021 so you can view departure ports and itineraries for an early 2021 Disney Cruise and even book your cruise beginning Thursday, October 3, 2019.

In early 2021, Disney Cruise Line plans to return to New Orleans, giving you even more opportunities to sail from the Crescent City with your family in early 2021. A limited-time engagement with cruises to the Bahamas and Caribbean, including visits to Disney’s private island paradise, Castaway Cay, highlight Disney Cruise Line’s early 2021 lineup of popular itineraries, while voyages will continue across the fleet to tropical destinations from Galveston, Texas; San Diego, California and both Miami and Port Canaveral, Florida.

The Disney Wonder Returns to New Orleans

On sailings from New Orleans, you can experience the flavors and flair of the Big Easy both onboard the Disney Wonder and ashore. The sounds and sights of New Orleans will come to life at Tiana’s Place restaurant, where your family is transported to an era of southern charm, spirited jazz and street party celebrations with live music and other surprises inspired by the Disney animated film “The Princess and the Frog.” Before or after your cruise, savor the city’s distinct cuisine, visit family-friendly museums and parks, and take in the sounds of world-renowned live jazz music.

The series of magical voyages from New Orleans kicks off in late January 2021 with a pair of four- and five-night cruises to the Western Caribbean. The five-night voyage includes a visit to Progreso, Mexico, a new port of call for Disney Cruise Line on the Yucatan Peninsula. This quaint town is filled with treasures for your family to explore together, from ancient Mayan ruins to hidden swimming holes filled with crystal-clear water.

Three seven-night sailings to the Bahamas with a stop at Castaway Cay, plus a 14-night Panama Canal cruise, round out the departures from the Crescent City in early 2021.

Popular Itineraries from Texas and California on the Disney Wonder

The Disney Wonder will also return to the popular home ports of Galveston and San Diego in early 2021. On sailings from Texas, you can enjoy the white-sand beaches of the Western Caribbean on a series of four- and six-night cruises to Grand Cayman and Cozumel. One seven-night departure will feature stops at Key West, Nassau and Castaway Cay.

Following the season in New Orleans, the Disney Wonder heads to the West Coast for a variety of sailings to Baja and the Mexican Riviera departing from San Diego. On cruises ranging from three to seven nights, your family can hunt for gold aboard a pirate ship in Cabo San Lucas, embark on an off-road adventure in Ensenada or sunbathe on glittering sand beaches.

Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island paradise in the tropical waters of the Bahamas, reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests. In a setting of crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white-sand beaches and lush landscapes, the 1,000-acre island offers one-of-a-kind areas and activities for every member of the family. Bahamian and Caribbean Getaways from Florida on the Disney Magic, Disney Fantasy, and Disney Dream

Disney Cruise Line will have three ships sailing to the Bahamas and Caribbean from Florida in early 2021, and every cruise includes a day at Disney’s private island paradise, Castaway Cay. This award-winning destination, reserved exclusively for Disney Cruise Line guests, is the ultimate escape for everyone in your family. A day at Castaway Cay offers opportunities for adventure and relaxation in a lush, tropical setting filled with classic Disney storytelling.

  • From Miami, the Disney Magic will sail three-, four- and five-night Bahamian and Western Caribbean cruises
  • From Port Canaveral, the Disney Fantasy will sail seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries
  • From Port Canaveral, the Disney Dream will sail three- and four-night Bahamian cruises

Top Six Things to Do on a Rainy Day at Disneyland Resort

From the Disney Parks Blog:

Photo: Disney Parks Blog

A little rain should never put a damper on a day of fun at the Disneyland Resort. In fact, it can be a great time to explore and enjoy the parks. Here are a few tips to ensure you make the most out of a rainy day at Disneyland Resort.

Prepare for the weather. It’s a good idea to wear comfortable, warm clothing. I also recommend wearing water-resistant footwear, and packing an extra pair of socks! If rain catches you by surprise, many Disneyland Resort merchandise locations offer ponchos and umbrellas. If you don’t see them on the shelves, just ask a cast member.

Photo: Disney Parks Blog

Enjoy favorite indoor attractions. There are numerous indoor attractions that are not only fun, but also keep you dry! My favorites are Pirates of the Caribbean in Disneyland park and Soarin’ Around the World in Disney California Adventure park. Check out the full list of indoor attractions on Disneyland.com.

Go again (and again). Rainy days can also mean more opportunities to ride favorite attractions! Be sure to check the Disneyland App for attraction wait times and other information.

Time to dine. Make a dining reservation and enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner with magical touches! Feast on Cajun and Creole cuisine at the charming Blue Bayou at Disneyland park or partake in a special character dining experience at Storytellers Cafe in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Dining reservations can be made via the Disneyland App, Disneyland.com or by calling (714) 781-DINE.

Catch a show. Cozy up in one of our theaters and experience great entertainment. I always love sitting back and enjoying “Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” in Disney California Adventure park or encountering Honest Abe in the classic Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln in Disneyland park!

Photo: Disney Parks Blog

Shop for Disney souvenirs. Take your time to explore World of Disney, the ultimate shopping destination at the Downtown Disney District. The store’s reimagined layout features uniquely themed areas showcasing the hottest Disney merchandise—you could be there for hours! While in Downtown Disney District, I also recommend immersing yourself in a hyper-reality adventure at The VOID, choosing either Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire or Ralph Breaks VR.

  • “Frightfully Fun Parade” – Children will love dancing along to this fan-favorite parade coming to Disney California Adventure park for the first time! The Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow starts the procession, followed by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse who lead the cavalcade of characters and many mischievous Disney villains who are ready to stir up some trouble along the parade route. Children will love seeing their favorite characters dance and singing to the spell-binding songs of the Halloween season!
  • “Villainous!” – Kids will love watching the twisted tale about the young girl Shelley Marie in the new “World of Color” nighttime spectacular. This Halloween story takes you on an unforgettable journey through devious encounters with The Queen, Ursula, Dr Facilier, Hades, Jafar, Maleficent and more! Children will be dazzled with the special effects—from the fountains and lights, to lasers and projections. “Villainous!” shows that, deep down, there’s a little villain in all of us!

This spook-tacular Halloween party would not be a Halloween bash without dressing up! Kids and their parents are encouraged to dress in costume for the occasion.

Oogie Boogie Bash, which takes the place of Mickey’s Halloween Party, is only offered on 20 select nights this fall, starting Sept. 17. For more information, including costume policy guidelines and to purchase tickets, visit Disneyland.com/HalloweenParty.
