Fall 2024 Disney Cruise Line Itineraries Feature Halloween on the High Seas & Very MerryTime Cruises

The fun of fall and winter holidays will meet the magic of Disney Cruise Line in fall 2024 with the return of Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime Cruises. With rare itineraries to Hawaii and the South Pacific and more opportunities to visit Disney’s newest island destination in The Bahamas, you will have the chance to experience the sea in new and exciting ways.

Embark on a magical voyage to celebrate the sights, sounds and flavors of the holiday season. Treat yourself to festive fun with Halloween on the High Seas sailings or Very Merrytime cruises—plus discover the wonders of Lighthouse Point, Disney’s newest island destination in The Bahamas.

Cast off on the Disney Magic or Disney Dream from Fort Lauderdale, set sail from Port Canaveral aboard the Disney Fantasy, or chart a course from Galveston, Texas aboard the Disney Magic. Whichever cruise you choose, larger-than-life thrills and heartwarming magic are sure to follow—with world-class entertainment, gourmet dining and all the award-winning attention to detail you can expect from Disney.

Halloween on the High Seas

Halloween on the High Seas returns to Disney Cruise Line in mid-September through October 2024. This season of extra-special sailings will bring the fun of Halloween to guests on select cruises across the fleet with a host of added entertainment. Families will dress up and join Disney characters in their Halloween costumes; dance the night away at a spooky celebration on the upper decks; enjoy spine-tingling themed food and beverages; and immerse themselves in a ghostly ship takeover with elaborate décor and a magical Pumpkin Tree.

From Port Canaveral, Florida, the Disney Wish will sail three- and four-night Bahamian voyages full of frightful fun, while the Disney Fantasy will offer these special themed cruises with lengths varying from four, six and seven nights. Four- and six-night sailings on board the Disney Fantasy will take families to The Bahamas, while seven-night escapes will transport guests to fan-favorite destinations throughout The Bahamas and Caribbean.

The Disney Magic will depart from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on vacations ranging from three to five nights to tropical destinations in The Bahamas and Caribbean. Select sailings on both the Disney Magic and the Disney Fantasy will include a chance for families to discover fun and relaxation at Disney Cruise Line’s newest destination in The Bahamas. Located on the island of Eleuthera at Lighthouse Point, this vibrant beach retreat will be a unique celebration of Bahamian culture brought to life with the quality and service of a Disney vacation.

Very Merrytime Cruises

From mid-November through December 2024, the Disney Cruise Line fleet will be decked from bow to stern with holiday cheer and entertainment during Very Merrytime Cruises. Holiday magic will be unwrapped for the whole family with joyful holiday décor; favorite characters in their finest festive attire; themed activities that are merry and bright; and celebrations on deck that are full of holiday spirit.

Families who want to spend the most wonderful time of the year with Disney Cruise Line will have opportunities to sail from two home ports in Florida, as well as a selection of cruises from Galveston, Texas.

Short holiday getaways will be offered from both home ports in the Sunshine State, with a selection of three- and four-night Bahamian Very Merrytime voyages on the Disney Wish from Port Canaveral and four- and five-night cruises to The Bahamas and Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale aboard the Disney Dream.

The Disney Fantasy will also embark a variety of four-night Very Merrytime sailings to The Bahamas, along with longer six- and seven-night itineraries in November and December. Select voyages on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy will include a day of fun in the sun along the white sand beaches of Disney Cruise Line’s newest destination at Lighthouse Point during the holiday season.

Cheerful cruises from Galveston aboard the Disney Magic will range in length from four to six nights, allowing families to celebrate the holiday season together while visiting tropical ports of call throughout the Caribbean.

Special Sailings to Hawaii and the South Pacific

In addition to the festive themed sailings, Disney Cruise Line guests can experience bucket-list itineraries in late 2024. The Disney Wonder will sail from Vancouver, Canada, to Honolulu, Hawaii, in late September with stops on the islands of Kauai, Maui and Hawaii before arriving in Oahu. From Hawaii, the Disney Wonder will embark on a transpacific voyage to Sydney, Australia, that will take families through the South Pacific to visit once-in-a-lifetime destinations such as Fiji, American Samoa and New Caledonia.

Disney Cruise Line will then set sail on its second season of vacations from Australia and New Zealand, bringing the magic of Disney close to home for local families in the region.

Lighthouse Point

Drop anchor at Lighthouse Point, a new Disney Cruise Line island retreat celebrating the breathtaking beauty and vibrant culture of The Bahamas. The Bahamas

Soak up the laid-back pleasures of island life on a 3-, 4-, 5- or 6-night cruise departing from Port Canaveral or Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Or sail from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Galveston, Texas on a dreamy 6-night voyage. 2023 marks the 25^th anniversary of Disney Cruise Line and, to celebrate, the entire fleet will be welcoming aboard a variety of delicious eats and sips inspired by the shimmering seas. Disney has just shared a sneak peek at what tasty options you’ll have to sea to believe. As the “Silver Anniversary at Sea” draws near, the talented pastry chefs and mixologists have been hard at work creating items sure to make a splash, because what better way to celebrate than with flavor?

Let’s jump in and take a peek at all of the shimmering sweets, sips, and novelties setting sail this summer from May through September!

First up, we’re exploring the treats that will be available. The 25^th Disney Cruise Line Cupcake features a decadent vanilla sponge cake topped with vanilla frosting, 25^th chocolate décor, and, of course, shimmering sprinkles. It’s not just beautiful, but delicious, too! This sweet selection will be available via amenities on the ship.

If you love chocolate and candy, you’re in luck because there’s a special item specifically crafted for the sweet tooths out there at all the sweet shops on each of the ships – the Mickey Chocolate Sphere. This sweet treat showcases a chocolate Mickey Mouse sphere adorned with the 25^th emblem and is filled – yes, filled – with a variety of candy pieces. Simply crack it open and treat yourself.

At both Cabana’s and Marceline’s Market locations, two of the desserts will be getting a Silver Anniversary at Sea upgrade. The 3 Layer Carrot Cake with lemon frosting will be adding 25^th chocolate décor and the Disney Cruise Line Anniversary Chocolate Marquise will feature rich chocolate truffle crème topped with the 25^th chocolate décor as well!

Are you a fan of chocolate cookies? We ‘shore’ hope so! At the concierge lounge, the Chocolate Cream Cookie enrobes a chocolate cream cookie with dulce de leche filling into rich dark chocolate and is decorated with the Silver Anniversary at Sea logo as well as the signature shimmering sprinkles. Also in concierge, the Celebration Cupcake tops a tasty red velvet sponge cake with vanilla frosting, shimmering sprinkles, and 25^th chocolate décor.

Captain Minnie is also joining in on the anniversary festivities with the Vanilla Crisped Rice Treat offered at all Cove Café locations. This vanilla-flavored crisped rice treat puts Minnie at the helm with special décor for both her and the anniversary.

Last but certainly not least for food, signature desserts throughout the entire fleet will be getting a tasty enhancement. All of these spectacular sweets will be adding a special 25^th chocolate piece to their already stunning presentation. At Palo, the classic Chocolate Soufflé with double chocolate sauce, vanilla crème anglaise, and vanilla bean gelato will also have a chocolate 25^th anniversary piece for everyone to enjoy!

What makes a refreshing Coca-Cola event better? When it’s decked out in Disney Cruise Line Silver Anniversary at Sea décor, that’s what! At Preludes and beverage locations on board, you will be able to purchase one of these special bottles as a tasty way to celebrate this momentous occasion.

For those over 21, there is an adult beverage guests won’t want to miss at certain lounges across the fleet. The signature Jubilee by the Sea cocktail combines 818 Blanco Tequilla, Luxardo Marashino, and fresh lemon juice with a sparkly, silver dusting and a shimmering blue sugar rim. Guests who purchase this exclusive cocktail will even get to bring home a special bookmark featuring a recipe for how to make this tasty beverage at home.

Additionally, as you are sipping on your favorite alcoholic or non-alcoholic cocktail, you may even see the exclusive 25^thAnniversary coaster and napkins showcased only during these celebratory sailings.

If you are looking to take some of the fun home with you, Disney Cruise Line also has you covered. Available at coffee shops on board, you can find the Specialty Coffee Mug with a unique anniversary design featuring the Disney Cruise Line fleet and even Mickey Mouse himself. These mugs also come with specialty coffee – yum!

The beer drinkers out there can also bring home a special keepsake from their sailing – the 25^th Anniversary Beer Mug sketched with the anniversary logo.

And finally, no Disney celebration is complete without a popcorn bucket! If you are planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you may be wondering when is the BEST time to of year to go to Disney. Best can be mean something different to different people. Some people are looking for the “best” weather (some like it warmer or cooler than others) while others prefer the lowest price or lowest crowds. Unfortunately, there isn’t a time that will check every box on your list, but there are certainly advantages to certain times of year over others.

Overall, most guests are hoping to find a combination of the lowest crowds, best prices and most comfortable weather. Although there isn’t one “perfect” time of year that meets all of the criteria exactly, there are certain times of year that are more favorable to giving you the best experience possible. With some advance planning and insider tips and tricks, you can certainly make the most of your time in the parks and truly enjoy your time at the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Let’s look a little closer at each month and some factors you may want to consider if you’re visiting then.

January

Lighthouse Point

Lighthouse Point, Disney Cruise Line’s new island destination in The Bahamas, on the island of Eleuthera will welcome families for the first time in June 2024. Lighthouse Point was designed with families in mind, imbued with the color and energy of Bahamian artistry and developed with sustainability and conservation.

On June 6, a three-night preview sailing on the Disney Magic from Fort Lauderdale will give cruisers a sneak peek of Lighthouse Point with limited access to some areas of the island.

One day of sun-drenched serenity at Castaway Cay also awaits your family on this once-in-a-lifetime sailing.

After the inaugural cruise, Lighthouse Point will be a featured stop on select three-, four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and Caribbean on the Disney Magic out of Fort Lauderdale throughout the summer. These South Florida-based itineraries will vary stops between Lighthouse Point and Castaway Cay, with five special sailings including both Disney Cruise Line island destinations.

Europe

Can you think of anything better than sailing the Mediterranean with Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie at the helm? Those dreams can come to life in next summer as the Disney Dream returns for the second time to exciting European destinations in the Mediterranean, Greek Isles, British Isles and popular locales in the Norwegian Fjords and Iceland.

These sailings will feature a number of new ports of call, including Valencia, Spain; Haugesund, Norway; and Hamburg, Germany, along with three Mediterranean destinations that will return for the first time since 2014: Catania, Italy; Kusadasi, Turkey; and Valletta, Malta.

Mediterranean and Greek Isles cruises from Barcelona and Civitavecchia (Rome) will range from five to 11 nights, while northern Europe and British Isles sailings will offer itineraries anywhere from three nights to one 12-night voyage that includes the Norwegian fjords, three days in Iceland and an overnight stay in Reykjavik.

Alaska

Cruises to Alaska from Vancouver, Canada, will return on the Disney Wonder from May through September 2024, offering more chances for your family to experience the natural splendor and adventure of “The Last Frontier” with five-, seven- and nine-night sailings. Majestic wildlife and stunning scenery in iconic places like Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and glacier viewing along the Stikine Icecap will blend with Disney’s world-class entertainment, dining and guest service to create a family-friendly vacation that celebrates the spirit of Alaska both on land and on board.

The Bahamas and Caribbean

In addition to the inaugural season of Lighthouse Point sailings from Fort Lauderdale on the Disney Magic, the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will sail to sun-kissed islands throughout The Bahamas and Caribbean in summer 2024. All sailings on these Port Canaveral-based ships will feature a visit to Castaway Cay, a Disney’s original private island paradise in The Bahamas that offers something for everyone in the family, from fun and relaxation to adventurous water activities.

The Disney Wish will continue to offer three- and four-night sailings to the Bahamas out of Port Canaveral while the Disney Fantasy will visit popular ports in both the eastern and western Caribbean on seven-night cruises. One five-night Disney Fantasy voyage in July will visit Nassau and feature two stops in Castaway Cay, while a special 10-night southern Caribbean sailing will give your family another opportunity to visit Lighthouse Point with additional visits to the islands of Antigua, St. Lucia, Dominica, Tortola and Castaway Cay.
