Be Our Guest Dinner to Become Signature Dining Experience on July 27, 2018

Be Our Guest has remained one of the most popular restaurants at Disney World ever since it opened in 2012. It has also offered a unique dining experience with quick service breakfast and lunch menus while offering a table service dinner menu. This summer will bring a new dining experience to Magic Kingdom Park when Be Our Guest dinner becomes a signature (two table service credit) meal. The restaurant will offer an enhanced prix fixe dinner menu that boasts a variety of delectable French-inspired dishes and new offerings. This unique experience will make you feel like royalty with a three-course dinner that includes your choice of appetizer and entrée, followed by a personal dessert platter.

To start off your meal, the appetizer menu will include favorites like the French Onion Soup in addition to rich new offerings like Charred Octopus with citrus-laced fingerling potatoes, pickled hearts of palm and red pepper coulis; Escargot with herb garlic butter and toasted gremolata; and a selection of assorted meats and artisanal cheeses such as chicken liver pâté, chorizo sausage Manchego, and truffle tremor.

For the main course, feast on mouth-watering entrées such as Grilled Center-Cut Filet Mignon with potato au gratin, Romano beans, Cipollini marmalade and a cherry-laced red wine reduction or the Smoked Black-Eye Pea Tortellini with roasted seasonal vegetables, tomato relish and basil-scented tomato water. Other enticing dishes include Poulet Rouge Chicken, Saffron-Infused Seafood Bouillabaisse, Roasted Lamb Chops and Kurobuta Pork Tenderloins.

And that’s just the beginning! Disney’s chefs are hard at work putting the final touches on the fabulous desserts as well as the kid’s menu for this exquisite new dining experience so be sure to stay tuned for updates on these menus.

Next summer, Disney Cruise Line will sail a first-ever round-trip cruise from Rome and visit seven new destinations in Europe. Plus, they’ll return to Alaska, the Caribbean and the Bahamas, including new cruise lengths aboard the Disney Fantasy. Here are the highlights…

New round-trip sailing from Rome
For the first time, you can experience the rich history of Rome as a bookend experience in a single Disney cruise, giving you more time to explore iconic landmarks like the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain and Vatican.

First-time visits to seven new ports in Europe
As part of the Disney Magic’s tour of Europe, Disney Cruise Line will call on seven new ports for the first time in 2019, including Gothenburg and Nynashamn (Stockholm), Sweden; Toulon (Provence) and Brest, France; Cartagena, Spain; Fredericia, Denmark; and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Disney Wonder will return to Alaska for the 2019 summer season. A variety of five-, seven- and nine-night itineraries will depart from Vancouver, Canada, with stops in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, Sitka, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier and Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska, plus Victoria, Canada.

Calling all rose gold fanatics: the Walt Disney World Resort has some sparkling new surprises for you! With the extremely popular rose gold ears and spirit jerseys appearing all over the parks and resorts, the chefs at the Walt Disney World Resort wanted to get in on the fun themselves with some beautifully delicious sweets and rose gold cupcakes.

You may have seen on social media that there’s already a rose gold cupcake at Sunshine Seasons in Epcot – a beautiful vanilla cupcake with hazelnut swirl, rose gold buttercream, fondant ears, edible glitter and chocolate pearls. Well, in addition to Epcot, Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios are now offering their own versions! In Magic Kingdom Park, you’ll find a Rose Gold Red Velvet Swirl Cupcake topped with a mini-vanilla cupcake, rose gold buttercream, chocolate crispy pearls and chocolate rose gold Minnie ears at Main Street Bakery. And at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll find a Strawberry Rose Gold Cupcake with strawberry icing and crispy pearls at The Trolley Car Café.

Outside of the parks, the resorts have come up with some rose gold cupcakes as well! On the monorail loop around Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is serving up a tropical Rose Gold Vanilla Cupcake with guava pastry cream at Capt. Cook’s and Kona Café; and I even hear that a Rose Gold Margarita with lime and a gold sugar rim has arrived at the Barefoot Pool Bar! Contempo Café at Disney’s Contemporary Resort now has a Rose Gold Vanilla Cupcake with strawberry filling, vanilla buttercream, strawberry crispy pearls and a dark chocolate rose gold Minnie hat. And Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa has a Rose Gold Unicorn Cupcake with rose gold sponge and hazelnut cream cheese filling at Gasparilla Island Grill!

At Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney’s Old Key West Resort, you’ll find a Rose Gold Chocolate Cupcake with strawberry buttercream filling and topping, chocolate ears and chocolate crispy pearls. Star Wars Galactic Nights Returns to Hollywood Studios on May 27, 2018

Heads up Star Wars fans – the Star Wars: Galactic Nights one-night special event will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 27. Tickets for this special event are now available for $129 for guests age 10+ and $124 for children ages 3-9.

In case you aren’t familiar, Star Wars: Galactic Nights is a thrilling Star Wars-themed event held after park hours from 7 p.m.-midnight. It celebrates the entire Star Wars saga with out-of-this-world entertainment, special photo opportunities, event-exclusive merchandise and F&B, and encounters with rarely seen characters that guests can only experience during Star Wars: Galactic Nights.

Here’s a look at other event offerings:

  • Star Wars: Galactic Destinations Projections Transform The Hollywood Tower Hotel – Visible on the Sunset Boulevard area of the park the facade of the Hollywood Tower Hotel will transform via stunning projection technology to showcase familiar locations from across the galaxy. Favorite film moments, special effects, lighting, and of course the stellar Star Wars cinematic score supports each galactic location moment all night long.   • Character Encounters – Expect to encounter Star Wars characters from throughout the galaxy. Guests will also be able to view an Imperial Stormtrooper March with Darth Vader.
  • Exclusive Food & Beverage offerings – Taste your way around the galaxy with specialty food and beverage offerings created for Galactic Nights. Inspired by the stories and iconic characters of Star Wars, these tasting-sized sips and bites bring a delectable addition to this event.
  • Enjoy park attractions – Select attractions will be open to all guests – and some may even offer a special Star Wars twist on May 27 only.

This summer, beloved stories from several Disney films will come to life at Walt Disney World in the form of new attractions, entertainment, experiences and more at all four parks, setting up summer 2018 to truly be an “Incredible Summer.”

Here’s what to expect at each Walt Disney World Resort location.

The Incredibles Take Over Tomorrowland at Magic Kingdom Park – Guests can party with Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, and Frozone from Disney•Pixar’s “The Incredibles” and the soon-to-be blockbuster “Incredibles 2.” Edna Mode, the greatest superhero costume designer, will also make her debut appearance. Each evening, guests can enjoy a “SUPER” dance party on the Rocket Tower Stage. [NOTE: Disney•Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” opens in theaters June 15, 2018.]

The Guardians of the Galaxy Take the Stage at Epcot – Star-Lord and Gamora from “Guardians of the Galaxy” will join an alien band, taking guests on a journey through the cosmos. The party will feature hits from Awesome Mixtapes 1 and 2 – fun and favorite tunes from the two movies’ soundtracks – building the anticipation for a new Epcot Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.

“Explorers Meet UP! A Great Bird Adventure” & A “Dino-Tastic” Celebration for Donald Duck Will Debut At Disney’s Animal Kingdom – Two new can’t-miss offerings will debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in time for the park’s 20th anniversary. First, guests can discover new bird species from around the world at the new show “Explorers Meet UP! A Great Bird Adventure,” which will star Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug. The park will also launch a “dino-tastic” celebration, in which Donald Duck takes over Dinoland, U.S.A., in a new character celebration.

See “The Incredibles 2” at AMC Disney Springs – Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen is in the spotlight, while Bob navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet, Dash and baby Jack-Jack, whose superpowers are emerging. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible. “Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.

Toy Story Land Opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on June 30, 2018– One major highlight of “Incredible Summer” will be the grand opening of Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios which is scheduled for June 30, 2018. This new 11-acre land will shrink guests to the size of a toy and allow them go explore the fun and adventure of Andy’s backyard. There, guests can experience two new attractions: the family coaster Slinky Dog Dash (38″ height requirement) and Alien Swirling Saucers (32″ height requirement). Toy Story Land also will feature an existing guest-favorite attraction, Toy Story Mania!, which will expand to add a third track into the rotation. The land’s Woody’s Lunch Box will be a new quick-service restaurant that will offer up tasty meals and old-fashioned soda floats to Toy Story Land guests.

Egg-citing news to share today! The 2018 Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt is coming back to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival this year and we have some new details on this springtime egg-sperience as well as an ALL-NEW Spike the Honey Bee scavenger hunt.

From March 16 through April 1, guests visiting the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival can participate in the 2018 Egg-stravaganza scavenger hunt – hunting high and low in World Showcase for “eggs” that portray favorite Disney characters.

As you find the hidden Disney Character-themed “eggs” in the park, you record your discoveries by placing a corresponding sticker on a specially themed Egg-stravaganza map. Maps and stickers can be purchased for $5.99, plus tax at the following parks and locations:

  • Disney Trader
  • Pin Central
  • World Traveler

When you find all of the “eggs” and complete your scavenger hunt map, you then return it to Disney Traders for a sp-egg-tacular surprise.

Also, along with this egg-cellent adventure, there will be a new springtime scavenger hunt called Spike’s Pollen Nation Exploration during the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. In this hunt, Disney’s favorite honey bee, Spike, has been pollinating his way around the festival, giving gardeners of any age the chance to follow his pollination trail around World Showcase at Epcot.

It’s easy to start this new scavenger hunt. Just pick up a garden map and stickers at Port of Entry. Then, it’s time to look for Spike!

As you explore the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, be on the lookout for Spike as he pollinates Epcot’s gardens. Once you find him, add the corresponding sticker to your map.

2019 Star Wars Day at Sea
