These three-night Short Escapes, also offered in Copenhagen, Denmark, and Barcelona, allow you to experience memorable icons in ways that few can, such as a private, after-hours visit to the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel in Rome. Plus, activities like ziplining, flamenco dancing and preparing local cuisine immerse families in the culture of the region.

Guided group excursion packages for select Europe cruises

You can also enhance select European sailings with an Adventures by Disney package during the cruise. Knowledgeable Adventure Guides lead travelers to experience the best of each port, helping you unlock the wonders of the destination through immersive excursions and off-the-beaten-path adventures. In addition, you will enjoy exclusive receptions onboard and have access to concierge service from these dedicated guides throughout the voyage.

See Active Volcanoes and More in Costa Rica with Disney Cruise Line

(Photo: Disney Parks Blog)

Did you know that you can explore the jungles, volcanoes, beaches and more in Costa Rica with Disney Cruise Line? Puntarenas, Costa Rica, is one of the tropical destinations on the Panama Canal Disney Cruise this April. Puntarenas, meaning “sandy point” in Spanish, sits on a long, narrow peninsula in the Gulf of Nicoya on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. With active volcanoes, cloud forests, fern grottoes and a 264-mile coastline, it is the perfect playground for hiking, whitewater rafting, kayaking, mountain biking, horseback riding, surfing, snorkeling, fishing and more. Here are a few recommendations for Port Adventures in Costa Rica with Adventures by Disney…

Poas Volcano & Sarchi – On this adventure, you’ll travel through a stunning mountain landscape to one of the world’s largest craters, an active volcano set 8,500 feet above sea level. At the Poas Volcano National Park, enjoy a one-hour guided tour and fascinating exhibits. Next, savor a traditional Costa Rican lunch at a charming restaurant before traveling to the picturesque town of Sarchi to watch artisans paint wood crafts, leather goods and souvenirs.

Coribici River Float – Enjoy a relaxing, two-hour trip down the Corobicí River on a river raft filled with excitement as you maneuver class I and II waters. Cruise deep into the jungle, and keep your eyes peeled for howler monkeys, white-faced capuchin monkeys, marmots, parrots, herons, wood storks, spoonbills and more while you marvel at the magnificent flora along the way. After the rafting experience, fuel up with a delicious home-style Costa Rican lunch.

Tropical Forest Canopy Zip Line and Aerial Tram Combination – Take to the trees for a scenic tour of Costa Rica’s diverse tropical forest. First, soak up stunning views over the canopy on the Pacific Forest Aerial Tram. Then set off on a zip line adventure, soaring across creeks and small waterfalls through the tropical forest using 15 traverses ranging from 262 feet to 720 feet apart. Back on land, enjoy a Costa Rican lunch, shop for souvenirs and visit the medicinal plant garden, butterfly garden and snake exhibit.

Remember, when the ship’s in port, venture ashore!

Try Scuba or Snorkeling in Bonaire with Disney Cruise Line

(Photo: Disney Parks Blog)

A new port of call for Disney Cruise Line, the island of Bonaire in the Netherland Antilles is a spectacular destination whose name means “coral reef” in Dutch. Its reef-lined coast lures water-sport enthusiasts for scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing and kiteboarding. Plus, this tropical haven is lined with pastel stucco houses in pinks, oranges and greens, beautiful Caribbean architecture and churches, making for an enjoyable day of exploring. Here a few suggestions for ways to experience the island of Bonaire with Disney Cruise Line…

Samur Sail, Beach and Snorkel – This Caribbean adventure begins aboard a historic Siamese ship, the Samur. As you sail towards the uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire, the ship’s captain and crew will share the history behind the Siamese sailing boat and fascinating facts about the reef. Once at the island, you’ll have the chance to snorkel, swim or simply unwind on the pristine white sand.

ATV East Coast Off-Road Experience – Those of you looking for excitement won’t want to miss this off-roading adventure on the island’s east coast. You’ll experience the rugged terrain of the Washikemba Reservoir, where you may see wild donkeys, goats and iguanas. After a short stop at the Spelonk Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Bonaire, your adventure continues as you explore the Bolivia Caves, one of Bonaire’s many caves.

VIP Island Tour with Exquisite Beach Residence and Lunch – During this VIP excursion, experience Bonaire’s historic locales in a small group with a knowledgeable tour guide. You’ll see the island’s highlights, such as Goto Lake with its elegant flamingos, historic Rincon village, the viewpoint of Seru Largu and the impressive salt flats and slave huts. Then, relax at the beach and enjoy a light lunch with breathtaking views over the bay.

The Disney Wonder will visit Bonaire for the first time on February 1 during one of the special Southern Caribbean cruises from San Juan. Remember, when the ship’s in port, venture ashore!
