Magic Kingdom Park
New! Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party Update: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party on Monday, October 31, 2016 is officially SOLD OUT! At the time of this writing, all other event dates for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party are available.
New! Magic Kingdom 45th Anniversary Merchandise: Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort celebrates its 45th Anniversary on October 1, 2016. Many of the logo products, including apparel, open edition pins, home goods and more, will be released in select locations at Magic Kingdom on September 22. You can find these logo items at the following locations: Main Street, U.S.A. – Emporium, Tomorrowland – Mickey’s Star Traders, Storybook Circus Area – Big Top Souvenirs, and Frontierland – Briar Patch.
Two Dooney & Bourke handbags will premiere on the Shop Disney Parks app on September 15. You can also find them at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A. starting September 22.
Several items will be released on October 1 at the Emporium including “I Was There” shirts, a limited edition pin (edition size of 3,000), and a limited edition retail MagicBand (edition size 4,500).
At Uptown Jewelers on that day, guests will find a commemorative 45th Anniversary dangle charm by PANDORA Jewelry.
Finally, guests can visit the Disney Parks online store from October 1-9 to find limited release t-shirts celebrating the 45th Anniversary. Several of the shirts will feature classic attractions that have been at Magic Kingdom since 1971. Please allow 3-5 weeks for delivery.
Epcot
Reminder! Epcot International Food & Wine Festival Now Open: The 21st Annual Epcot International Food & Wine Festival has begun! Let Epcot be your global tasting table – enjoy the longest festival yet with 62 days to taste, sip and shop culinary creations from around the world. Don’t forget to stop by the nightly Eat to the Beat Concert Series performances at America Gardens Theatre at 5:30, 6:45 and 8 p.m. Here are some of the upcoming acts:
- Sept 26-26 – Sugar Ray “Fly”
- Sept 29-30 — Los Lobos “La Bamba”
- Oct 1-2 — David Cook “Light On”
- Oct 3-4 — Wilson Phillips “Hold On”

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
New! Sneak Peek of “Doctor Strange” Coming This Fall: Starting October 7, a sneak peek of the magical, mindbending adventure “Doctor Strange” will be presented as part of the One Man’s Dream attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This short presentation will offer Guests an advance look at scenes from the film. “Doctor Strange” will be available in theaters in 3D on November 4.

Reminder! Minnie’s Halloween Dine Now at Hollywood & Vine: Minnie Mouse is inviting all of her friends to join her at Hollywood & Vine beginning Sept. 12. This character dining experience features Minnie Mouse and friends dressed for a festive Halloween celebration. Reservations are now open, and can be made by visiting DisneyWorld.com/dine or by calling 407- WDW-DINE.
Walt Disney World Resort – General
New! Shark Reef Experience at Typhoon Lagoon Closing: At Typhoon Lagoon, Shark Reef will no longer be offered as an entertainment experience starting on October 3. Future plans for the area will include a new family-friendly attraction opening this spring that will take Guests on a white-water adventure. All of the animals at Shark Reef will be relocated to other facilities where they will continue to receive proper care.
New! Now Open at Disney Springs: Luxury of Time by Diamonds International: Luxury of Time by Diamonds International, an industry leader of fine timepieces and jewelry in the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico, is now open at Disney Springs. Luxury of Time, a boutique developed exclusively for Disney Springs, features some of the world’s most prominent designer watch brands including Breitling, Hublot, Ulysse Nardin, Tag Heuer, Mont Blanc and others. The new store also offers a large collection of fine diamond and tanzanite jewelry, including the Diamonds Internationalexclusive Crown of Light Diamond and Safi Kilima Tanzanite.
New! Night of Joy at Walt Disney World Resort Announces 2017 Dates: Walt Disney World just finished the 34th Night of Joy and this year’s event brought the best names in Contemporary Christian music to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex for the first time. The dates for next year’s event are Sept. 8 and 9, 2017. Night of Joy will back again at The ESPN Complex next year as well.
Merchandise Events
September 30 – Guests can meet representatives from Kit Heath at The Queen’s Table in the United Kingdom Pavilion at World Showcase from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m.
