From time to time, Disney Cruise Line has to make adjustments to their operation based upon guest feedback. The Disney Cruise Line smoking policy will be updated next month. Effective November 15, 2013, guests will no longer be allowed to smoke on stateroom verandahs on board any of the Disney Cruise Line ships. However, Disney Cruise Line does recognize that some guests do smoke. In order to provide an onboard atmosphere that also satisfies smokers, there will be portions of open-air decks on each ship designated as smoking areas.
Since smoking will no longer be permitted on stateroom verandahs, guests who are found smoking in their staterooms or on their verandahs will be charged a $250 stateroom recovery fee. This fee covers a deep cleaning which includes air filter replacement, carpet extraction, the cleaning and replacement of drapes, comforters, blankets, and pillows, along with verandah cleaning and maintenance.
Any verandah stateroom bookings affected by this change will be contacted by email by Disney Cruise Line. Guests will also be reminded of this policy once on board the ship.
