Monstrous sweet treats for this week’s Limited Time Magic Surprise

You can enjoy monstrous sweet treats as part of this week’s Limited Time Magic at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California. These cool treats are worth a visit to the Disneyland Resort or the Magic Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort for a little “Limited Time Magic” fun now through August 4, 2013.

The Disneyland Resort sundae has two scoops of mint chip ice cream, hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, a candy eye, and horns in a crisp waffle cup. You can find this treat at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor in Disneyland park and Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream at Disney California Adventure park. This sundae costs $6.99 plus tax.

At the Magic Kingdom, you can try one of (or all) four variations on the theme: a parfait-glass sundae at Plaza Restaurant that comes in either mint chocolate chip or vanilla-strawberry ($6.99 plus tax), or a slightly smaller version of both at Plaza Ice Cream Cone Shop ($5.29 plus tax). How can you resist two scoops of ice cream drizzled with hot fudge, topped with whipped cream and adorned with chocolate cookie horns, a white chocolate eye “lollipop,” chocolate sprinkles and a fresh strawberry?

Both treats are great for monstrous photo opportunities – and then even better for digging in!

Monsters University Homecoming at Hollywood Studios

Make way for a Monsters University Homecoming celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florda! The Monsters University School of Scaring is hosting a campus bash inspired by Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University and it all goes down every evening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can hit the quad where you will hear your DJ—”Monster of Scaremonies”—spinning the latest beats, and take part in a series of fun activities. Then, get pepped up as the Monsters University cheerleaders pop in to lead the Monsters University Fight Song before those monsters of rock, Scare Supply, take the stage. You will even enjoy a medley of monstrous mash-ups and then laugh along when they are joined on stage by everyone’s favorite scarers, Mike and Sulley. It’s a pep rally of epic proportions, and it’s all part of Disney’s Limited Time Magic!

Plus, don’t forget that you can see Mike and Sulley’s dorms at Disney’s California Adventure park or the Monsters University Student Union at Disney World’s Hollywood Studios as part of the Disney parks monstrous summer!

Create your own monster with Monsters University Create a monster app

There’s lots of fun you can have to celebrate the release of Disney-Pixar’s newest film, Monsters University! You can now create your own monster with the Monsters University create a monster app. Plus, you can download your own Monsters University coloring page or Monsters University ID.

When creating your own monster with the Monsters University create a monster app, you will first select the monster body type. You have ten different options to choose from. Next, you will select which color you would like your monster to be. There are five different colors to choose from. Then, you can customize your monster by adding accessories! There are lots of choices including, hair styles, hats, horns, wings, eye lashes, and more! Lastly, don’t forget to name your monster and then you can even share it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, or Tumblr; download your monster; or print your monster, complete with its Monsters University Identification card. You can create as many monster friends as you’d like!

The Monstrous Summer at Disney Parks kicked off May 24 with a 24-hour celebration on both coasts. The parties featured a colossal lineup of unforgettable experiences, including entertainment enhancements celebrating the characters of “Monsters University.”

  • Mike and Sulley are dropping in from Monsters University to scare up some fun all summer long. Some of the monstrous surprises in store for you at the Disney Parks this summer include all-new, collegiate settings where you can meet your favorite aspiring scarers from Monsters University. On the Backlot at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you will find the Monsters University Student Union, complete with a view of the campus. Meanwhile, at Disney California Adventure Park, Mike and Sulley can be found right outside the university dorms, recreated in Hollywood Land.
  • At Disney California Adventure Park, Mike and Sulley show off their Monsters University spirit as they lead daily performances of the Pixar Play Parade. At the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, you will chuckle along with your monster friends at the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, where they have been studying new jokes. The gang is ready to graduate to new comedic bits in honor of their alma mater.

Mike and Sulley are stopping by from their “alma monster” to scare up some school spirit at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California.

Come scream the day away—and maybe even an entire night too—at the Disney parks Monstrous 24-Hour “All-Nighter” as you take in the latest and greatest thrills, including a few monstrous surprises!

Enjoy a Monstrous 24-Hour Event
On May 24, 2013, for one day and one night only, you will have the chance to spend 24 whole hours inside select Disney parks!

From 6:00 AM, May 24 to 6:00 AM, May 25, 2013, on each coast, experience monster madness inside the Magic Kingdom park at Walt Disney World Resort, along with Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park at the Disneyland Resort. You can experience special entertainment, Monsters-themed merchandise, frightening food, and boo-verages at this “All-Nighter” that is sure to be one scary good time!

A Day and Night at Walt Disney World Resort
You can enjoy the fun when Mike and Sulley take their turn as Grand Marshals of the Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade at Magic Kingdom. You can watch along and wave, or even make your way to a special after-dark screening of Disney•Pixar’sMonsters, Inc. in Tomorrowland.

For a fun character encounter, make sure you join the delightful duo of Chip ‘n’ Dale when they drop in to Town Square. Don’t forget to make time to take some pictures, or head inside the Town Square Theater to see Mickey and Minnie.
